Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research (CGRER) is presenting a talk “Air Quality (Data) Landscape in India to Support Short- and Long- Term Decisions” on Thursday, April 20th by Dr. Sarath Guttikunda.
Dr. Guttikunda is a TED Fellow, founder of UrbanEmissions.Info (India), and an affiliate associate professor at the Desert Research Institute (Reno, USA). He received his PhD from the University of Iowa (2002) as a member of the Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research (CGRER) and the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. His main research interest is air quality analysis at urban, regional, and global scales and finding ways to bridge the gap between science, policy, and public awareness. He is the developer of the SIM-air (Simple Interactive Models for Better Air Quality) family of tools, with applications in Asian, African, and Latin American cities.
