Greetings from the Central Plains Research Data Center!
We are off to a good start with the new academic year and are eager to have more researchers from our partner consortium institutions taking advantage of the restricted federal data sets available in the RDC. Our website now has two presentations that researchers can view. The first is a narrated presentation with an introduction to the Central Plains RDC that details what data sets are available, and how to get involved. Interested researchers can get a quick introduction to the wealth of data available in the RDC with this presentation. The second presentation by Dr. John Abowd of Cornell University, now Chief Scientist at the Census Bureau, is a video of a talk he gave last spring at UNL on the topic of “Social Science Research in the Era of Restricted Access Data.” Here is a link to the page with both presentations:
