Iowa Informatics Initiative's

July 4th
new home on the 5th Floor of College of Public Health celebrated the first July 4th event. See the picture for the spectacular view one can have from the 5th floor of the building. This event also kicks off the official move for Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Informatics students. 

The space consists of faculty and staff offices, collaborative support spaces, visualization wall and graduate students lounge. Among these several can be reserved by researchers across campus and few offices are first come, first serve basis. Below are the general policies that can guide researchers wanting to utilize the start-of-the-art facilities provided by the Iowa Informatics Initiative.

Space Types & Reservation Policies 

Unassigned Work Spaces – First come, first serve.
Collaboration Rooms – Advanced scheduling directly via Outlook.
Collaboration Spaces (Informal) - First come, first serve.
Grad Student Space – Reserved for Informatics Cluster Students and IGPI Students. Workspaces facing windows are unassigned and workspaces facing away from windows may be assigned upon request by supervising faculty to
Faculty Offices – Reserved for Informatics cluster faculty. Cluster faculty can book directly via Outlook. Space is limited so please only reserve the times you need.
Staff Offices – Reserved for Informatics staff. Contact for availability.

General Space Policies

Informatics reserves the right to block any spaces if required.
Keys are available for Faculty and Staff Offices. To request -
Monitors will be provided at all formal workspaces. Desktop computers have been provided at some workspaces but individuals are encouraged to bring their laptops.
